Our big message this weekend was ANTICIPATION. Anticipate the ball hit your way. Anticipate the pass ball to get the next base. Anticipate the play before it happens. This is hard for a player’s brain to grasp, but the quicker they get it, the easier the game becomes. It allows them to slow the game down, because they have already visualized the possible outcomes. When done correctly you should see every player on the field move to the ball at contact even if it’s a foul.
